Hanoi to host conference on tourism promotion

Hanoi will host the 7 th annual conference of the Council for Promotion of Tourism in Asia (CPTA) which is scheduled to last from October 5-10, 2008.

The conference, part of the Asian Network of Major Cities 21 (ANMC 21), is held in rotation in member cities of Hanoi, Bangkok, New Delhi, Taipei, Seoul, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur and Tokyo.

During the six-day conference, participants will review the work set at the previous conference and adopt an action plan for new projects, propose solutions to develop tourism in member cities as well as organize promotional and advertising activities to attract tourists to Asian cities including Hanoi.

The conference will also boost cooperation among member cities and advertise their tourism potentials and services.

The Hanoi People’s Committee is guiding relevant authorities to prepare for the conference.
