Ha Giang is around 300 km away from Hanoi, it's located in the northern mountainous border area. It borders China in the north, Tuyen Quang Province in the south, Cao Bang Province in the east, and Yen Bai and Lao Cai Provinces in the west. Administrative units: It has Ha Giang Town and nine districts of Dong Van, Meo Vac, Yen Minh, Quan Ba, Bac Me, Hoang Su Phi, Vi Xuyen, Xin Man and Bac Quang.

The climate is divided in two distinct seasons (rainy and dry), although it tends to vary depending on altitude. Ha Giang is the ideal location to organize activities such as hiking and camping. Famous sites include Quang Ngan Waterfall and Than Thuy-Thien Bao National Frontier Pass.

HA GIANG TRAVEL AND TOURISM
Ha Giang is home to a number of ethnic minorities many of whom live a separate life from the mainstream society and most of whom maintain a very traditional culture. Many of these communities can only be visited on a 2-3 day trekking tour. The nature on the treks are stunning and unreal.
Ha Giang is not touched by mass tourism and the area is still lack of infrastructure for developing tourism. For the time writing, Ha Giang is suitable for the adventure travelers, artist and nature seekers.
