Quy Nhon is a seaside town with about 200,000 inhabitants, whose harbors are accessible to more than 4,000 boats and ships. This town is about 650 km far from Ho Chi Minh City.
Quy Nhon, Binh Dinh, is the homeland of the most respected Vietnamese hero: Nguyen Hue. Being the cradle of the classic theatre "Tuong" and the martial art of Viet Nam, it used to be the important commercial centre of exchanging trade with China. The ancient capital of the Cham Tra Ban (1000-1471) is located 26 km far from Quy Nhon. Nowadays Quy Nhon is famous for its local products like bird's nests. The province has quite many Cham towers like Banh It Towers... The sandy beach here is good and right in the town.

Banh It Towers

Banh It Towers are 25 km away from Quy Nhon, include total four towers, also called Thap Bac meaning Silver Towers. The main tower is 22m high. Standing by Banh It Towers, visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of this very fertile countryside.

Duong Long Towers

The two others are 22m high. The largest one is embellished with granite ornamentation representing Naga and Elephants. This tower complex is one of the most beautiful in Central Viet Nam.

Quang Trung Museum

Quang Trung Museum is dedicated Nguyen Hue, a national hero of the 18th century. It was built in his native land of Kien My village in Tay Son district, 45 km from Quy Nhon, and 5 km off the highway.

Nguyen Hue was the second emperor of the Tây Sơn Dynasty of Vietnam, reigning from 1788 until 1792. He was also one of the most successful military commanders in history and was undefeated in battle. At the time of his death, Vietnam was unified for the first time in three centuries.

Nguyen Hue and his brothers, together known as the Tay Son Brothers, were the leaders of the famous Tay Son Rebellion. As rebels they conquered Vietnam, overthrowing the imperial Later Lê dynasty and the two rival feudal houses of the Nguyen in the south and the Trinh in the north.

Visiting Quang Trung Museum, visitors will enjoy the music and demonstrations of Vo Tay Son, a traditional martial art of Binh Dinh. A display of Emperor Quang Trung 9th generation’s niece playing the 11 battle drums can also be seen.
